DARTON HIGH SCHOOL RESIDENCY

 
DEMONSTRATIONS

Myself and the students worked from the same source images; both artists work and magazine photographs. I introduced various media and techniques to produce different moods. Some of the demonstration pieces follow.

I use both ends: the quill and the feather as a brush.

The students were looking at Francis Bacon as one of their artists. I produced some demonstrations using some of his formal elements: strong contrasts & flat backgrounds being the main features I tried to emulate.
