“Pixie
dust, also known as "fairy dust", is the trail of sparkling material
that often follows mythical creatures such as pixies and fairies in
general when they are visually represented. Sometimes, this trail is
interpreted as being a tangible substance, often imbued with magic
powers.”

Pixel Dust is
the shimmering residue of the television screen, scattered by
mysterious electronic processes to become lodged behind the eyes of the
artist. Selections and distortions, vibrant colour combinations, and
multi-layered textural surfaces convey the twitching dazzle of the
arrested television picture. The effects of the dust are such that even
drawings made from life are pixellated into digital offshoots. |
