chase expressions: what are they thinking? I don't always answer my
question, and find exciting compositions by deliberately confusing
possible meanings. After my friends were completely sick of sitting
still, and every last idea used from my old photos and magazines, I
turned to the not-quite-imaginary friends met daily through television
and films. What I found is a world of dazzling lights and mysterious
shadows; saturated colours and intense emotions, where any one of a
number of things could be happening... Selections and distortions,
vibrant colour combinations, and textured surfaces convey the twitching
dazzle of the arrested TV picture.
